Camp Timberledge is nestled on 280-acres of woodland and lakes in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. This setting provides an intimate setting, close to nature, for small to mid-sized Christian retreats and meetings (64 guest capacity, May – October; 22 guest capacity, November – April).

Relaxation, Fellowship, and Recreation: Spend time in meditation, enjoy a good book, conversation, the warmth of a wood-burning fire and relaxing table games. Witness forest wildlife, trees, and flowers, experience lake fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Explore portions of the three miles of well-marked hiking trails. Download our Trail Map. Enjoy mountain biking (bring your own bikes and safety equipment), cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. There is also basketball, softball, volleyball, and ping pong. The 20 acre Timberledge Lake is well-stocked with pickerel, bass, catfish, and bluegills, and is great for fishing.  When the lake freezes each winter, guests can try ice fishing and ice skating. Fishing equipment is not provided. A Pennsylvania fishing license is required for guests age 16 and older. Check Here for license information. The Delaware River, part of the National Park System, is a less than 6 miles away. Outfitters offer canoe, kayak and raft rentals for groups interested in a day of water adventure. Accommodations include the lodge, traditional cabins, and platform tents. A lean-to and open-air campsites are linked together by a well-marked three-mile trail system. (See Map)

Camp Lodge:

Camp Center – The year-round retreat center includes a 2000 square-foot all-purpose area and balcony, with meeting and worship facilities for 100 and a dining area for 48, lounges, a warming kitchen, five restrooms with showers, a full two-bedroom apartment, and a large deck.

The Camp Center provides lodging for  22 guests – three rooms, each with one queen bed; two rooms, each with two queen beds; one room with two twin beds;  and a two-bedroom apartment with one bedroom with two queen beds and a second with one. In addition, youth groups especially enjoy the overflow sleeping space in the all purpose area.

Cabins & Tents:

Cabins – Three  new cabins (each sleep 14) are located near the restroom building and dining hall.

Tents- Four 16-foot square tents mounted on wooden platforms, sleep six. Tents are located near the cabins and restroom building. Available only by request during July and August.

Dining Hall

The Dining Hall includes a commercial kitchen and a dining area that seats 75.

Restroom Building

The restrooms with toilets and showers were recently remodeled and winterized and are available for use by those in tents and cabins.

Woodland Lean-To

The lean-to sleeps eight and is located in the forest near the High Bridge waterfall, about ½ miles from the Camp Lodge. It does not have restroom facilities.

Shopping

Camp Timberledge is two miles from a country store, restaurants, a family fun park, driving range and laundromat. It is within six miles of supermarkets, Wal-Mart, specialty shops and a movie theater. Historic Honesdale and Hawley, each with its own charm, restaurants, boutiques, gift, and antique shops and golf courses, are within 15 minutes. Lake Wallenpaupack is 20 minutes away.

Retreat Fees:

CAMP LODGE: $25.00 per night per person 12 years old and older, $15.00 per night per child ages 5 through 11 (when accompanied by a parent), and under 5 are free (when accompanied by a parent).

CABINS: $20.00 per night per person 12 years old and older, $12.00 per night per child 5 through 11 (when accompanied by a parent), and under 5 are free (when accompanied by a parent).

TENTS (JULY & AUGUST BY REQUEST): $20.00 per night per person 12 years old and older, $12.00 per night per child 5 through 11 (when accompanied by a parent), and under 5 are free (when accompanied by a parent).

DAY GUESTS: Adults and children ages 5 years and older who attend a retreat week-end as “Day Guests” are asked to pay $5.00 per day (or any part of a day) to cover expenses related to camp use and insurance.
